Wellness facilitators are becoming an essential part of the organizational development team. As more organizations are responding to the great resignation, more employers are recognizing that the old way of doing things no longer work.
Wellness facilitators can do several things that were not done prior to the covid era such as educate employees on personal well-being, reminding them to be more conscious of their interpersonal contacts; help coordinate wellness conversations, provide wellness assessments, and design wellness plans with employees, conduct wellness audits, and offer wellness competency education to groups and teams to optimize their interactions in a remote and hybrid work world.
Wellness facilitators can reduce the workload on the human resources team that are already overtaxed with the volume of work added to their plates adjusting to a pandemic era. They are an essential role that can be part-time, consultative, or a blend of health and wellness coach/facilitator. This allows the organization to budget accordingly and still meet the expanded health and wellness needs of their employees without overwhelming already busy training and human resources teams.
Those new to the field should be looking to see what wellness facilitator training options are available to those just starting out versus those who are already established in corporate training, human resources, or organizational development.
As the demand increases, we have been doing our part here to ensure that we provide a comprehensive wellness framework for facilitators who are new or expanding in the field of health and wellness. Some of the things we have done is ensure that facilitators have a way to choose the work they want to do and that they can clearly delineate between the growth in the field, versus their own passion and capacity.
We offer training in a whole person wellness system, and wellness competencies to further enhance wellness at work. Aiming to inspire leaders and employees with a flexible roadmap that makes wellness at work easy, cost-effective, and customizable to the dynamic needs of all.
