DEI Conflicts at Work

Have you had to face a conflict situation that was related to ancestry, gender, sexuality, religion, ethnicity, or biodiversity?

These issues are on the rise, and we must get ready to address them in our workplaces and in our communities.

I had a guest this week on my show What’s Happening at Work. My guest was Yvette Durazo, a Conflict Resolution expert, Diverse Consultant, and Author of Conflict Intelligence.

We discussed the issues of DEI Conflicts and the need to have appropriate responses to these types of conflict situations in the workplace. Yvette shared some situations where she also engaged in DEI Conflicts because the leaders who were tasked with facilitating critical conversations about race relations in the workplace made comments or reacted in a manner that made employees feel psychologically unsafe in the workplace.

She shared the importance of having someone skilled involved in these delicate conflict situations in the workplace.
