Conflict is a catalyst for change. It is a sign that people are thriving, growing with changing needs and interests. It is not something to fear. Conflict should inspire dialogue, not fear.

Yesterday I led a group of 30 plus employees on an exploration of systemic racism and unconscious biases to see how they can move beyond the status quo. The idea was to start a new dialogue, one that challenges their own thinking and comfort level.

This fall I will be leading the DEIW certificate program on healing and transformational and healing series of training on DEI and Interpersonal Well-being for those who want more than just a workshop. You can learn more here

  2. – Create a framework for Critical conversations at work
  3. – Remind your team that culture defines beliefs and values
  4. - Help your team understand lived experience are diverse
  5. - Help your team understand the importance of values
  6. - Help your team create clarity and focus
  7. - Respect Boundaries
  8. – Don’t let issues accumulate
  9. – Don’t make assumptions
  10. – Don’t encourage stereotypes

I think it goes without saying that one of the most important things you can do in the face of diversity conflicts is to get the right help. Don't assume it will work itself out.
