I collapsed on a plane from burnout. That moment changed everything I teach.

I need to tell you what most wellness experts will not admit.

I spent over two decades helping organizations navigate conflict, build resilience, and reduce burnout. I trained over 10,000 leaders. Then I collapsed on a plane from severe burnout.

Traditional wellness programs were not building real resilience. They were band-aids on a systemic breakdown nobody was measuring.

That is why I built the Currency of Resilience FrameworkTM and the WIS® Resilience platform, to make resilience measurable before burnout, conflict, or mental health decline occurs.

Why I created this call

Two approaches I watched fail and the one that works.

Approach 1: Reactive problem-solving

Address each issue as it surfaces. You become the shock absorber and the same patterns return.

THE PROBLEM:

Doing this method of leadership can oftentimes lead to your own burnout, because you become the emotional shock absorber for every issue. You hit a cap. There are only so many fires you can put out before you’re the one who’s burned out.

And the issues keep coming back. Because you’re treating symptoms, not systems.

Approach 2: General wellness programs

Good intentions, weak adoption, low measurement. Budget is spent and outcomes stay flat.

THE PROBLEM:

This method, while well-intentioned, is often completely disconnected from the actual problems. You’re assuming everyone needs the same thing, but they don’t.
