Use this quick checklist to spot & solve the hidden risks that stall team execution in Q1 — before they turn into missed goals or burnout.

1. TEAM RESILIENCE PULSE CHECK

  • We have clear Q1 goals everyone understands and owns.
  • Team members can name their top priorities for the quarter.
  • We’ve discussed where past executions stalled and what to change.
  • Morale and trust are solid (not just “fine”).
  • We’ve checked for warning signs of burnout or quiet disengagement (e.g., missed deadlines, fewer contributions, stress complaints).

2. CAPACITY MAPPING

  • We know our team’s current “capacity limit” (bandwidth for change, workload, learning).
  • We have a plan to redistribute work if someone gets overloaded.
  • We’re aware of any lingering workplace conflict or friction and have a way to surface issues early.

3. PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY & CONFLICT HEALTH CHECK

  • Team members feel safe to share ideas, concerns, and mistakes without fear of blame or negative consequences.
  • It’s safe to ask questions and challenge assumptions even if there’s disagreement.
  • We encourage honest conversations and recognize when someone’s holding back.
  • We have a clear plan (not just “ignore it and hope”) to address conflicts, misunderstandings, or interpersonal issues.
  • When issues surface, we seek to understand, not suppress or minimize the team members’ perspectives.

Tip: Teams that feel safe to speak up, challenge, and address conflict head-on are 2x more likely to hit their goals.

4. WELLNESS & PERFORMANCE CONNECTION

  • Wellness programs (if any) are actually connected to our Q1 goals (not just “nice to have”).
  • We regularly ask: “How are you really doing?”, and listen to what’s not being said.
  • We address small frustrations before they become big problems.

5. EXECUTION HABITS

  • We review progress every week (not just at month-end).
  • Team members know who to go to for quick help when stuck.
  • Wins and progress are recognized no matter how small.

6. NEXT STEPS FOR LEADERS
