Background

Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries sought to enhance employee interpersonal skills and overall wellness at work. To achieve this, they engaged Interpersonal Wellness Services Inc. (IWS) to provide wellness assessments and well being coaching for employees facing challenges related to respectful workplace processes, emotional intelligence, psychological safety, and interpersonal behavior.

Method

  • Referral and Assessment: Employees were referred to IWS to address specific issues they were encountering. They completed the Wellness Improvement System (WIS) assessment, which helped identify their well being risks.
  • Coaching Plan Development: Based on the assessment results, employees received well being competency coaching aimed at building their interpersonal skills, mindset, and behavior.
  • Coaching Sessions: Over a series of coaching sessions, employees worked on improving their workplace health and performance by addressing their well being risks and enhancing their competencies.

Results

  • Positive Behavior Change: Employees who participated in the program demonstrated significant positive behavior changes in the workplace.
  • Growth and Promotion: The improvements in their interpersonal skills and overall well being led to growth, which contributed to some employees being promoted into management roles.
