Leaders are not following a clear strategy to reduce stress at work, which creates a Trail of Burnout and Stress Leave.
In the ten days, I have been contacted by five individuals in various organizations informing me that they have either been on stress leave, about to go on stress leave, or currently away on stress leave. This tells me that there is a missing link in the workplace.
Leaders are not following a clear strategy to reduce stress at work and great people are either leaving their organizations permanently or taking time away from work due to stress.
In either of those scenarios, it impacts workflow and output and reduces the organization’s ability to get things done efficiently. We see in some situations where one person returns from stress leave, the person who was left to perform their duties – in addition to his or her own work – also goes on stress leave.
Our next Leadership Coaching Bootcamp focuses on stress management for teams. In today’s busy workplaces, it’s becoming more important for leaders to learn new tools and strategies to lead effectively, while reducing stress – often this is an easy process if you have a framework to follow.
We have been running leadership coaching bootcamps for the past two years and I’m always excited to see the turnout and the learning process for leaders.
A Leadership Coaching Bootcamp is a session, either online or in-person, where those who lead groups, teams, departments, or supervise others, come gather to immerse themselves in coaching around a thought, topic, a skill, or coaching tool. At times, they observe a strategy being used to expand a thought, which is a teachable moment for them. Often, leaders get hands-on practice on coaching conversation they can apply immediately.
This bootcamp comes with a bonus, Stress Reduction framework to build resilience, manage stress and improve well-being, in addition to 3 months of leadership coaching sessions to sharpen their use of the stress management framework. Check out the next Leadership Coaching Bootcamp
