Studies show that people change their behaviour and grow, when they get continued support. After working with organizations for 21 years I am very aware that this is true.
Some employees do well with a workshop and training, while others need more ongoing support to help them move past the barriers and blocks, to living and working well.
Though most organizations have Employee and Family Assistance Programs (EFAP), most times that model is for crisis management and does not serve the need for personal and professional development or prolonged behaviour change.Statistics also show that only 36% of employees utilize the EAP programs. We have been helping our client organizations for years to meet those needs and have recently increased our capacity to do so.
This year we have rolled out Wellness Improvement System (WIS) for workplace called the WIS@WORK program with an emphasis on improving relational well-being. This gave rise to the Relational Leadership Academy geared towards leaders who need to improve their interpersonal skills, communication, conversation, and critical thinking skills to experience fewer conflicts, and upsetting situations to reduce stress and anxiety at work..
The other program we have rolled out is the for the great employee whose personal life and wellness is impacting their ability to work well. The WISLife Academy. The WISLfie Academy provides employers with an additional option to refer employees to get coaching support to work on those problem areas of their life that's impacting their work. We have had great success with this program over the past decade under a different name, thus prompting us to expand our capacity to work with even more people in this program. Remember coaching is different from therapy, and coaches will only work with people who ready to take action to change their situation.
