Too often we forget to think of our impact on others in our communication and our interactions. Those with good interpersonal intelligence have a good understanding of others. They interact with others well, based on their understanding of who they are. These individuals are usually skilled at assessing the emotions of others, meaning they have good self-mastery of emotional intelligence. They are also able to assess the motivations, desires and attentions of those around them and negotiate their relationships accordingly. They are skilled at non-verbal communication and can see situations from various perspectives as such. They may see arguments and other options to best act in advance to others allowing them to avoid difficulties. They are good at creating positive relationships with others and good at resolving conflict in groups. Interpersonal intelligence includes the ability to be compassionate and forgiving to others.
