14 Oct Developing Others Through Coaching
One of our newly added coach training courses called ‘Developing Others Through Coaching’ teaches the competencies that help participants….
This course teaches competencies that help participants to explore the concept of development in coaching and practice strategies and tips for developing others.
Participants reflected on their own personal development paths and examined what aides and dissuades development, as well as barriers to development.
Here are some development questions participants pondered when reflecting on their own personal development:
- What was the catalyst to your development journey?
- Should I develop in order to support others development?
- What structures and supports did you have in place?
In addition to personal development, we focused on posing questions that foster insights and awareness, to solicit a commitment for development.
This course is great for leaders, supervisors, human resources professionals and those working in social services. The competencies of this course are geared towards developing a deeper understanding of ourselves as supports for others’ development and what requires of us.
In this course, participants learn new strategies to enhance development of others, identify roadblocks to their success and make a commitment to their own development and growth in this area.
What roadblocks do you face in developing others? I would love to hear from you.
